Privacy
In short: if you sign up for letters, we keep your email address and a record that you agreed. Nothing else about you, and we never share or sell it.
What we keep, and why
When you sign up for letters, we store your email address, which list you joined (new episodes or the shop), the words you agreed to, the page you signed up on, and the dates you signed up, confirmed or left. We use it only to send the letters you asked for.
Where it is kept
Sign-ups are stored in a database run for us by Cloudflare. Confirmation emails and letters are sent through an email service that acts on our instructions and keeps addresses only to deliver them.
Spam protection
The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. It runs only once you start filling in the form.
Visitor counts
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics and PostHog (its servers are in the EU). Both run without cookies and store nothing in your browser. PostHog records which pages are read, clicks through to YouTube and use of the sign-up form, so we can see what is useful. It does not build a profile of you, and your IP address is not kept. Neither tool tracks you across other sites. No advertising or tracking cookies are set on this site.
Videos
Episode videos come from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Leaving and deletion
Every letter has a link to leave the list in one click. To have your address deleted entirely, or to see what we hold about you, write to us at letters@emberleyhall.com.
